Girls of summer 2009

This summer was one of the best in a long time. It all started in April when 4 crazy girls rented a cottage down at Port Dover. We had such a blast we had to do it again in May. Then one of the gals met a fella and now we don't have to rent a cottage anymore. The Norfolk Hotel has become a hot spot with the girls.

Look out Cougar Town, the girls are in Dover. We are just good friends out and about and that's all. If we have visitors along the way so be it.  No young or old pups were harmed this past year.

We even did the Friday the 13th in November. Friday the 13th virgins we are no longer. We have one more big event of the year - a milestone birthday for one of the girls. Photos to come later.

What's Happening in the area for this Festive time of year?

Don't go to any town website to find out cause it ain't there.

So I was searching for details on the Tillsonburg's Down Home Country Christmas and can't find anything.

This is bringing me to the point that there needs to be a blog or website where organizations can post their events.

The Town websites for Tillsonburg and Ingersoll don't give good detail information for events.

I'd like to start this on my blog. It would be a starting point for people to submit a poster explaining their event.

While at a meeting in Ingersoll this week on of the people their said they didn't know the times and activities on the Moonlight Madness night. Even though it was advertised in the local paper on the local radio. She still didn't know what was happening that night. And it appears that others were in the same boat.

The local town's and city websites should have a way of letting people upload a poster for events. At this meeting we talked about social marketing facebook and tweeter this is one way of getting your activities well advertised.

This leaves me frustrated and anxious to do something about it.

Time to put on the thinking cap and make a plan.

Bridget and Charlie what would life be without these two characters. Well less fur balls around the house I guess, those fur balls are easily swept away, but the love you get from these two could never be swept away.

Another Day

Well today is another day in the neighbourhood. Last night I ended up with gal pals for a drink outside under the stars and fresh September air.  One of my friends is going through some family trials and tribulations. One of these days she will be back to a normal life what ever normal can be. Not a nice thing to go through especially when the system isn't there to help. It's like banging your head against a brick wall. 

Meeting in Ingersoll was different that's all I'm going to say about that. Time will tell what the outcome will be.

In less that 10 days I will be heading to Scotland for a much needed trip out of Dodge. Can't wait!!!! This weekend will be spent planning my daily outfits and getting started to pack. 

Well I guess I will get back to the grind.
